This time 6 elite jumpers from prominent States viz. Gujarat, Maharashtra & Uttar Pradesh with 2 Officials are looking forward to make the participation at World Jump Rope Championship-2012 on 4 – 12 July. 2012 at George Washington University, Washington D. C. USA
This time the opportunity for Jumpers to participate are more open as the younger Jumper can Choose to compete against other younger in Junior World Championship or test his skills against older in Senior World Jump Rope Championship or to do the combination of both.
This is not the very first time that Indian Jumpers are participating at International platform. Indian Jumpers participated at World Championship - 2010 held at Leicester shire, Loughborough, United Kingdom on 27 July – 4 August. 2010. The strategy of JRFI is, to firstly develop its coaches & Referees so that they could deliver absolute information about the sport of Jump Rope. Before participation the Jumpers had 15 days India’s Camp where they are free to interact, communicate & share their knowledge about Jump Rope. Md. Arshad, Technical Director, JRFI was keeping its eye on every Jumper & helps the Jumper to improve where s/he is lagging behind. The India’s camp took place at Godwin Public School, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Out of 12 Jumpers 10 had participation at World Youth Tournament while the other 2 jumpers left participated at World Championship. The World Championship left an experience on JRFI’s Soul. This was not only a championship but the best way to communicate, interact & getting the core knowledge of the sport of Jump Rope. Indian Jumpers also participated prominently in Camp there at Leicestershire. INDIA is successful to won 6 Bronze medals. These 6 Bronze medals were won in different team events viz. SurajPandey, Akhilesh RajkumarDesai, Pruthvil Patel & Hit Patel won Bronze in Double Dutch Pairs Freestyle Event while Shivam Shivakant Kaangi & Onkar Vinod Pandhre won Bronze in Single Rope Pairs Freestyle Event.
