As a coach, you must teach your jumpers the fundamental skills and strategies necessary for success in jumping rope. Skills For every new skill learnt, there is a progression that should be followed so that the jumpers maximize their chances of completing the skills successfully: ü turners practice without the ropes ü jumpers practice inside ropes laid on the floor without any turning ü turners practice while jumpers practice outside the ropes ü attempt the skill with jumpers and turners working together At each stage, the count should be called aloud so that jumpers and turners are learning and practicing the same count in preparation for the double dutch skill.
